We know, you might need like half a tissue to mourn over the death of this site, but we think you’ll have a lot more fun at the new blog.

Love, love, love, LOVE the InStyle September issue. Lots of pages to look through, so haven’t looked at the whole thing yet, but so far I’m liking what I’m seeing! InStyle is probably my favorite – it’s practical, informative, stylish, and not trashy (won’t mention names, but there are quite a few “fashion” magazines that are pretty lame in my book).

Current Wish List (and growing…lol):
-motorcycle jacket
-black booties
-faux fur vest
-fitted blazer
-beaded mocs

…hmm shopping time soon? ;P

So, if I’m not fantasizing about new things to add to my closet, I’m reading blogs. I actually spend A LOT of time following blogs – I am addicted… I really ought to be doing more productive things, but my favorites are seaofshoes, The Sartorialist, and recently, The Shoe Girl.

vegas & back.

We’ve been MIA because…

we’ve been in Vegas for the last 5ish days or so and just got back earlier this evening! It was very, very hottttttt but I’m thinking the extreme dry heat is more bearable than hot humidity at home. Plus, Vegas does not have mosquitoes and that’s why it’s even awesomer While I did not spend my nights dancing away at clubs or getting addicted to the infinite slot machines, I did see an infinite amount of jewelry. Accessories is a simple and inexpensive way to add something unexpected to your whole look – really, do you want to spend $10 on a chain necklace or $80 on new clothes? (correct answer: $10 necklace)

So I finally caught Confessions of a Shopaholic over the weekend (I know, I know…I’m super late!) and before I say anything, let me just say that I was really looking forward to seeing this for 2 reasons:

1. Isla Fisher (I’ve loved her since Wedding Crashers)
2. I loved the book (it’s by Sophie Kinsella, if you’re curious)

The movie, like many others out there, was nothing like the book…well, obviously the main character Becky is a major out-of-control shopaholic, but that’s where the similarity with the book ends, which is really sad. I was pretty bummed. So minus the almost awful plot full of tacky/sappy lines making me rather squirmy, I did like it for one reason and that is seeing Isla wear all these pretty clothes! But when the movie ended, it dawned on me that I shouldn’t be too judgmental of this crazy girl’s addiction because I’m pretty sure I am one too (to a very, very minor degree…)! This makes me think that if someone were to hand me money to go shopping, I’d enjoy myself a little too much and buy anything (and everything) in my size. I mean, even now, I am fantasizing about all the wonderful things I could get for fall: skinny belts from J.Crew, leather Frye riding boots, black booties, a faux fur vest, suede Tory Burch flats (AHH these are amazing!), ruffled tops, motorcycle jacket, a drapy top…okay, I’ll stop. Am I tempting you, too?

Back to reality…but then again, what about early Christmas presents?

I am not a huge fan of watching Korean soap operas (too melodramatic!), but being that South Korea tends to be a bit ahead fashion-wise, compared to the U.S., I thought I’d post a couple pictures of styles you should be looking out for this fall/winter. Trends: short gloves, chains (necklaces and bracelets), layering, rhinestones, dramatic earrings, big rings, and bangles.
